The RYLA Committee is made up of Rotarians and young adults who are passionate about the program and extremely knowledgeable
about why and how RYLA works. The average involvement of RYLA Board members is 10 years. The involvement of youth in our visioning and implementation is critical to our success, and many of our younger Board members have been with us for more than 10 years. We work together to develop the program for each year’'s event. The RYLA Committee insures that Rotary principles are at the core of every aspect of the program, that RYLA has continuity and an organizational memory, and that significant decisions are balanced to provide RYLA with a critical role in building Rotary’s credibility and meaning among our youth.
Typically, our RYLA has been a 4-day leadership conference held each June at a college or university within the District, with upcoming high school juniors and seniors attending.Support is drawn from clubs to provide attendees, connection to speakers, and to facilitate the planning and efficient operation of the event.
