District Foundation Award


Qualifying Requirements

The District Foundation awards and recognitions are made at the Foundation Seminar in August and clubs are not required to submit an application, however, all contributions must be submitted to Rotary International before June 30, 2016.

Clubs should make sure the current Polio contributions are received by Rotary International no later than June 30, 2016.

  • Percentage Benefactor/Bequest Increase (from July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016) 
  • Net Benefactor/Bequest Increase (from July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016) 
  • Gross Annual Giving Club (from July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016)
  • Per Capita Annual Giving Clubs (from July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016) 
  • Total Giving Club (from July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016 (Annual, Restricted, and Permanent) 
  • Per Capita Total Giving Clubs (from July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016 (Annual, Restricted and Permanent)
  • Total PolioPlus Giving
  • Per Capita PolioPlus Giving

  Presidential Citation


Qualifying Requirements

Your Rotary, Rotaract, or Interact club can earn a Presidential Citation for achieving goals that strengthen Rotary and your club. Activities include growing your membership, developing sustainable service projects, giving to The Rotary Foundation, and building awareness of Rotary in your community.

Deadlines

► 30 June 2017: All activities completed

► 30 June 2017: Rotary and Rotaract clubs' accomplishments entered in Rotary's database

► 15 August 2017: Interact clubs' qualifications verified by a sponsor Rotary club president or district leader

Premier Club


Qualifying Requirements

To qualify for Premier Club Award, clubs must have completed the criteria to earn the 2016-17 RI Presidential Citation. While Rotary International allows clubs until June 30, 2017 to qualify for the Presidential Citation, if your club is interested in one of the District Awards you will need to have all criteria completed by April 30, 2017.

In addition to the Presidential Citation, the following criteria must be met to qualify for a Premier:

  1. Club has a Strategic Plan in place and club members are aware of it.
  2. Club has current classification list which is reviewed and updated regularly.

Platinum Premier Club


Qualifying Requirements

Qualifying for the Platinum Premier Club Award, requires completing the criteria to earn the 2016-17 RI Presidential Citation. While Rotary International allows clubs until June 30, 2017 to qualify for the Presidential Citation, if a club desires to achieve the Platinum level it needs to have all criteria completed by April 30, 2017.

Qualifying Requirements

Each club must complete three (3) REQUIRED activities and two (2) out of seven additional activities by March 31, 2017.

REQUIRED ACTIVITIES

  • Develop a club Public Relations plan and submit it to your District Public Image Chair.
  • Define your club’s signature activity, event, fundraiser, project and promote it to the public and Rotary Club Central
  • Organize an event that results in significant media coverage, that engages your members and offers the opportunity to promote your club and The Rotary Foundation Centennial. Submit a report of your event with examples of media coverage to your District Public Image Chair.
