Platinum Premier Club


Qualifying Requirements

Qualifying for the Platinum Premier Club Award, requires completing the criteria to earn the 2016-17 RI Presidential Citation. While Rotary International allows clubs until June 30, 2017 to qualify for the Presidential Citation, if a club desires to achieve the Platinum level it needs to have all criteria completed by April 30, 2017.

In addition to the Presidential Citation, the following criteria must be met to qualify for a Platinum Premier Award:

  1. Club has a Strategic Plan in place and club members are aware of it.
  2. Club has current classification list which is reviewed and updated regularly.

MEMBERSHIP Requirement for Premier Club Award

Satisfy Premier requirements, and . . .

  1. Induct new members under the age of 40: two for small clubs and four for large clubs.
  2. Have ONE (for small Clubs) or TWO (for large Clubs) members in Rotary Fellowships.
  3. Have at least 10% of club members receive All Star Rotarian award

DISTRICT PARTICIPATION Requirement for Premier Club Award

Satisfy Premier requirements, and . . .

  1. Have 10% of your club membership* registered for District Conference in June 2017*. 
  2. Have 20% of your membership* registered for the RI Convention in Atlanta in June 2017.*

*The entire Family of Rotary qualifies (Rotary member, Rotary partner, children, grandchildren, etc.).

FOUNDATION Requirement for Premier Club Award

Satisfy Premier requirements, and . . .

  1. Club has achieved 100% Paul Harris Fellow status.
  2. Achieve a five-year high in total Club giving to the Foundation.
  3. Add one new Paul Harris Society member or Major Donor.
  4. Increase the total number of Bequest Society Members by at least one.

ONLINE TOOL ADOPTION Requirement for Premier Club Award

Satisfy Premier requirements, and . . .

  • Post a Club initiative on Rotary Showcase.

HUMANITARIAN SERVICE Requirement for Premier Club Award

Satisfy Premier requirements, and . . .

  1. Partner with at least three other Rotary Clubs on a project.
  2. Submit an application for a Global or District grant
  3. Conduct a project with a corporation, government entity or nongovernmental organization.

NEW GENERATIONS Requirements for Premier Club Award

Satisfy Premier requirements, and also do at least ONE of the following . . .

  1. Provide a volunteer to assist with RYE Final Interviews (held in November) and invite a returning RYE to speak to your club.
  2. Sponsor or host a Rotary Youth Exchange student in 2016-17.
  3. Commit to sponsoring or hosting a Rotary Youth Exchange student in 2017-18.

PUBLIC IMAGE Requirements for Premier Club Award

Satisfy Premier requirements, and . . .

  • Host an event to inform the community about Rotary, PolioPlus and the Foundation centennial.

Qualifying Requirements

Your Rotary, Rotaract, or Interact club can earn a Presidential Citation for achieving goals that strengthen Rotary and your club. Activities include growing your membership, developing sustainable service projects, giving to The Rotary Foundation, and building awareness of Rotary in your community.

To qualify for Premier Club Award, clubs must have completed the criteria to earn the 2016-17 RI Presidential Citation. District Foundation Awards

District Foundation Award


Qualifying Requirements

The District Foundation awards and recognitions are made at the Foundation Seminar in August and clubs are not required to submit an application, however, all contributions must be submitted to Rotary International before June 30, 2016.

Clubs should make sure the current Polio contributions are received by Rotary International no later than June 30, 2016.

  • Percentage Benefactor/Bequest Increase (from July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016) 
  • Net Benefactor/Bequest Increase (from July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016) 
  • Gross Annual Giving Club (from July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016)

Qualifying Requirements

Each club must complete three (3) REQUIRED activities and two (2) out of seven additional activities by March 31, 2017.

REQUIRED ACTIVITIES

  • Develop a club Public Relations plan and submit it to your District Public Image Chair.
  • Define your club’s signature activity, event, fundraiser, project and promote it to the public and Rotary Club Central
  • Organize an event that results in significant media coverage, that engages your members and offers the opportunity to promote your club and The Rotary Foundation Centennial. Submit a report of your event with examples of media coverage to your District Public Image Chair.
