Minutarian Week 10: September 6, 2021

We made it to the 3rd month of our Rotary Year, congratulations to all!

Disaster Relief

Our committee has been very busy since the year started with much need here in our own country and around the world. We have a spectacular team that coordinates with strategic partners and alliances in place with several key resources such as American Red Cross and other local, national and international organizations. With the guidance of our committee and district leadership, funds collected through the York Foundation are distributed to the places with the most need and put to work in the most effective way possible. During the past 3 years, our members have been incredibly generous helping our world recover from many disasters.  Here are a few examples of how Rotarians of District 6970 continue to aid others.

Haiti Relief $3,490
Puerto Rico Relief $3,050
Hurricane Michael $8,071
Hurricane Dorian $72,603
St. Vincent Volcano Relief $3,050

September is Basic Education and Literacy Month

What is your Rotary Club doing to support this important Rotary Foundation Area of Focus?

Basic education and literacy is one of The Rotary Foundation’s seven areas of focus. We know that basic education and literacy are essential for reducing poverty, improving health, encouraging community and economic development, and promoting peace.
