Why join the District 6970 Alumni Association?

As a member of the  District 6970 Alumni Association, you can be part of Rotary at a commitment level that suits you. It can be as little as staying in touch through online communication and  forums. You may also wish to attend alumni association events to network and to enjoy the company of other alumni and Rotarians. You could also choose to participate more in depth by participating in service projects, speaking at Rotary Clubs, volunteering to lead events or stepping into a leadership position in the association.

There are no membership dues. Membership in the association is open to:

  • Ambassadorial Scholars
  • Group Study Exchange participants
  • Carl B. Miller Discovery Grants recipients
  • Rotary Grants for University Teachers
  • World Peace Fellowship Scholars
  • Rotary Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies Program participants
  • Volunteer Service Grants recipients
  • RYLA, Interact and Rotaract members
  • Rotary Youth Exchange participants

Kathryn has served businesses, students and refugees/immigrants in various capacities for over 15 years, including directing programs for the American Red Cross and the International Rescue Committee.

Through a Rotary World Peace Fellowship, she earned the degree Master of International Relations in the field of Peace and Conflict Resolution from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.

She is also a Florida Supreme Court certified Family Law Mediator and is currently managing the ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) program for Daytona State College.



A Rotarian since 2000, Roseanne was an Ambassadorial Scholar in Mexico City in 1983-84.

Roseanne is chair of Rotary Club of Flagler Beach’s main service project, Project Share which supplies monthly groceries to 300 families in need and Christmas toys for over 1000 children – many of whom are Mexican farm workers who work in Florida’s fern industry.



Kimberly was a District 6970 RYLA participant while attending high school in 1999. She was among the founding members of the Stetson University Rotaract and former President.

Kimberly has been involved with District 6970 RYLA as a staff member since 2004 and is currently the Executive Director. Kimberly is honored to serve as association secretary and looks forward to continuing the Rotary connection for RYLArians and other alumni through alumni events and communication.



Kelsey was a District 6970 Rotary Youth Exchange Student from Jacksonville to Miaoli, Taiwan in her junior year of high school from 2009-2010.  She is a former Interact Club member and has been an active member of Rotex. Kelsey is currently a Junior at Chamberlain University of Nursing and is a member of her schools nursing association.

Kelsey is honored to serve as association treasurer and looks forward to bringing the exchange student’s perspective to alumni association activities.



Rotary Club of West Jacksonville

Ken lives in Jacksonville and is President of Western Natural Gas Co.  He has been a Rotarian for 34 years and served as District 6970 Governor in 2004-05.

Ken is excited to be a part of chartering a Rotary Alumni Association to maintain Rotary connections or to re-connect alumni to Rotary. Ken believes that a strong alumni association is an important part of Rotary’s mission.



Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach

Bill has worn many Rotary hats including District Foundation Chair. A Past-President of Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach, Bill is passionate about fostering strong alumni relations.

Bill has participated in Group Study Exchanges to Argentina, Italy and Brazil.
